Many years ago when I was not an editor, but a camp counselor (sort of different … not really that different), I took a group of kids to the San Francisco Zoo to see an albino alligator. The kids were impressed, but my life was forever changed. OK, well, maybe that’s a slight overstatement, but I did develop a deep, abiding interest in albino animals. Scientists believe albinism exists in all vertebrate populations. I’ve seen an albino stag, an albino gorilla, even an albino crow. What albino animals have you seen?
